The BMW brand has made some bold statements and brought a new model to the Frankfurt Motor Show. This brand has already announced they will offer us as many as 25 new models that are either hybrid or electric across their three brands by 2025. Not only will this mean that every BMW model will have a hybrid variant, but 12 of the 25 will also fully electric and are expected to offer a longer range than any other model on the market today. In addition to making this announcement, BMW has brought us a concept for us to take a look at.

The EV Concept

The newest concept that BMW shows us is the new i Vision Dynamics which is expected to be the basis for the EV models of the future. This new model offers us a view of what the kidney grill could become with a collection of sensors and items that will eventually allow this the be an autonomous model on the road. This car shows up with an aerodynamic look that is modern and designed with a subdued style that could be close to being production ready.

Up front, we not only see an area that’s cut out for the sensors that could replace the grill in this EV but the four-eyed light setup on the front is applied differently from what we normally see in BMW models. On top of the car we see a huge glass panel that could be part of the production model to give us a smooth and impressive view of the sky as we drive around on the road with the car that’s an excellent choice on road. This is a car that we can be excited about right from the start and with what BMW is promising; this car could be ready to take down even the most loved EV models on the road.

The Range Desired

The i Vision Dynamics concept is a four-door EV sedan that brings us the range of up to 373miles. With this range, there is no doubt that we are coming ever closer to having a model on the road that can drive nearly as long as the gasoline-powered models we drive now and is capable of topping the longest range that Tesla can offer. This car is also expected to have the ability to reach sixty mph in less than four seconds and have a top speed of 120 mph, but that’s all we know right now.

This new model is certainly the concept that gives us a look at the vision that BMW offers for the new hybrid and electric models that will be part of the market in the next several years. We have more to look forward to with a full complement of models that will be offered on the market, but this new concept is built to get us excited about the EV driving we’ll have in the luxury market in the future.
