2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab vs. 2014 Jaguar F-Type V8 S

In a side by side comparison the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet was pitted against the Jaguar F-Type V8 S model to see which car was the best. Both cars perform extremely well and are certainly both awesome cars to own, but each has its own attributes that makes it very special to the owners as well as to those who can only watch them cruise on by.

Porsche 911

Starting under the hood, the Porsche 911 pushed out 560 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft. of torque from a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine. This awesome power is generated to all four wheels and is matched up with the highly refined and performance laden seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This pairing allows shifting to be quick and precise offering an awesome driving experience from the power train. The Porsche 911 carries an awesome zero to sixty time of just under 3.0 seconds which is absolutely rocket fast. Even though it is this powerful, the Porsche offers a respectable fuel efficiency at 17 city/24 hwy mpg.

The interior of the Porsche offers a complete luxury feel at every turn and doesn’t in any way feel as if any part of this car was missed. Add to this there is a backseat that can fit one person or larger luggage and this car is made to travel anywhere it needs to go.

From the outside the Porsche offers classic feelings and stylings that have long been synonymous with Porsche and offers the sophisticated feeling that anyone would expect to gain from this highly designed and engineered vehicle. Driving the Porsche with the top down will not cause the driver to have a wind-blown look as the design is made to cause the air to move around the vehicle without causing any disruption to the driver.

Jaguar F-Type

The F-Type is powered by a more traditional power plant in the form of a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that comes in with 495 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. This awesome engine is paired with a n eight-speed automatic transmission that offers a speedy shifting and awesomely energetic ride. The Jaguar brings in a zero to sixty time of 4.2 seconds which is really fast and the fuel mileage for this beast comes in at 17 city/23 hwy mpg.

Jaguar has always built really upscale interiors and this one is really no exception to that rule at all. It is an awesome inside to drive in, but does have some hard plastics and left out a few details. There is not backseat as this is truly just a two seater car for a couple to enjoy.

As this is the first Jaguar sports car in the past forty years it offers a gorgeous style and look that appears to be something out of the sixties with its shape and presence. Offered in bold colors and with the angry sounding engine the Jaguar is an awesome machine to behold.

The Verdict

Overall, the Porsche 911 offers a great deal more for any driver to enjoy as far as road gripping feel, handling that won’t quit, and an impressive time to sixty mph. The Jaguar on the other hand shows off with a style and look that demands notice and growls angrily at anyone who refuses to give it due attention.

Even though both cars are awesome and easy to love the Porsche comes in with a base price of $195,595 while the Jaguar shows up with a more loveable price of $92,000. This makes declaring a winner a very difficult decision but the nod would have to go to the Porsche for performance detailing and power; however the Jaguar is a great choice for someone who doesn’t want to spend or have an extra $100,000.
